Photo-ography

So my grandpa has had this cabinet for a while, and over the years he's collected old cameras. well, yesterday i got home and it was in our house, and my dad was putting it together! i asked what it was, and he told me that his mom had actually bought it a long time ago. hmmmm so there ARE heirlooms to be had in the Naylor family. i asked him if i get it someday and he said only if i'm a good kid. ha. like i'm not a good kid! Well, its just this neat old thing though, lots of character, and i just love the old cameras!

These cameras make me miss my photography class from last year. that was definately the coolest class i've ever taken, and i wish i could still be in it. i dont know if ASU offers a basic photo class, but i'll have to look into that. all the really good photos i took last year, i gave away, too, so i'm left with the negatives and nothing else....MOM! scan those pictures i gave you! i want to show off! haha

The redish one second from the left is one my dad found at D.I. or goodwill, i cant remember which one...its really neat though, and its cool that he gets to add to the collection!

Busy, Busy, Busy

ahh sitting at work.
its been a busy week!
i worked five days this week...wow
got paid on monday and got NEW sandals finally!
my old ones were wearing down, and really uncomfortable.
the new ones i bought were $14 at Payless, and they are fabulous!
finals are fast approaching, too! i cant believe the school year is almost over...

but anyways, i'm stressed about finals, and work, and there is not much else going on in my life right now.

but i need to get back to work!

manic monday

i got two of my scores back today.

the verdict: decent.

actually, for spanish, more than decent.
i got a 98% A+!!!!
heck yes!
i think she must have been excited about it.
on my evaluation sheet she said "excelente" like, three times.
i was quite relieved i must say.
and somewhat smug.
i'm actually GOOD at something!
yay me.

on the other hand, i calculated my Economics test score...

not so great.
though a 70% is better than a 45%.
i also found out he drops your lowest test grade,
so i just have to do decent on my next test
and my final, which is cumulative.
pray for me....
Economics is very dificult and hard to understand.
i hate it.

and, alas, i will most likely get my math score back on wednesday.
hopefully.
and hopefully i did well.

today, i had to skip econ and math, though,
because i had to go to the library archives and photocopy advertisements from pre-1950's magazines.
it was quite entertaining, though, i must say.
one of the ones i chose to copy was from 1929.
it was about "electric refridgeration".
haha. it made me laugh.

another one i saw was for a ford.
it cost $845 brand new.
i wish they were still that cheap!

i'm sitting at home, which is a rare thing for me on a monday.
so i'm sitting in my bedroom, on my bed, making up excuses as to why i shouldn't clean up.
there are clothes everywhere.
and i'm pretty sure they are all dirty, and that i have no more clean underwear.
haha, oh the life of a college student.

i'm also putting off showering.
i HATE showering.
and i know that sounds gross.
i do not, however, hate being clean.
i just hate how much time it takes.
cause when i shower i have to lather up my hair,
and then i have to shave my legs and my underarms.
and then i have to get out and dry off which takes forever!
and then i get raccoon eyes from my mascara, so i have to wash my face.
and then i have to dry my hair.
and sometimes straighten it, but i've been too lazy lately.
and then back-comb the top to make some pouf.
and then put lotion on my dry skin.

as you can imagine, it is quite time-consuming.
ergo, i HATE showering. ha.

but now i have an excuse for not cleaning!
if i clean, i will need to do laundry.
but i have to shower, cause i have work tomorrow.
and i can't do laundry if i shower cause it will take up the hot water!
(this is an old house)
therefore, i will shower (ugh...)
and NOT clean.

Fabulous.

ahh. my stress is over.
actually, half over.
half the stress of having stress is finding out later that you did well or horrible.
i am sitting in math class now. free of the tests and presentations i've been studying for the past week.
now, i get to wait.
i think waiting is the hardest part.

my spanish presentation went well. i studdered too much. i tried to make jokes.
but i'm not funny in english, so why would i be any funnier in spanish?
i wait till monday to see what my grade is.

took my math test on wednesday.
easy, except for the last two problems that dealt with second derivatives....which i didnt study.
ah. i'm waiting for sometime next week when sloth man decides to grade them.

just finished my Economics test. i expect a 50%.
what i did know i did well.
what i didnt know, well, obviously, it didnt work out in my favor.
that class is HARD!
this was the third test we took this semester.
the first, i got an 85%, the second, 45%
class averages for those tests were 68% and 45% respectively.
and now, again, i wait.
since the test was a scantron, it shouldnt take long.

on a lighter note, i'm quite excited about easter.
although i will be missing out on the egg hunt...
it will be my first "grown up" easter.
my own, "grown up" rest day.
a.k.a. nothing.
wow, being an adult sucks.
!

BounceU
i have work today.
my last class ends at 12:40, then i'm going to kevins to pick up my car.
then i drive nearly 30 minutes to mesa, and work from 2-8 answering phones and whatnot.
its fun.

tuesdays and thursdays are the most fun at work, though.
i do "preschool playdate" where kids ages 2-7 come and jump for a couple hours in the morning.
i get to play with them, and help their parents keep track of them.
i enjoy it. i think they like me.
and the moms always tell me how pretty i am. i tell them to blame my parents. they laugh.
and then i say thank you.

i would also thank sloth man if he would stop talking right now.
when is he going to figure out that noone cares about antiderivatives?
i better have a good math teacher next semester!

ahh, and now, for my daily ritual.
ignore sloth man, and complete the word jumble in the paper.
but today i have two, so i get to ignore him for double the time!
satisfaction!

and with this satisfaction, i say
GOODBYE!

Summer seems far off...

Well, to put it lightly, school is rough.
i have a math test tomorrow. i hate my teacher by the way.
he is a horrible teacher.
and i went to study for the test today...guess what the man did?
half of the things he said to study for, we never went over.
we didnt even have homework on it!
so i spent 3 hours in the math tutor center today trying to understand.
i'm still so lost.

i hate my teacher because:
-he doesnt capture my attention
-he teaches in a VERY unorganized fashion
-he wears socks with sandals (really? i thought we were in the 21st century....)
-he has to hold on to the top of the white board while he teaches
-he wears glasses. but in order to keep them on, he has fasioned a contraption involving a rubber band that connects the ends of his glasses around the back of his head. odd, to say the least
-he doesnt realize that when he leans back against the whiteboard, he gets this black line on his butt from the marker dust....haha
-he wears khakis and grey t-shirts that are 2 sizes too small. ew
-he talks like a sloth

the man, he is a genious.
the man as a teacher...train WRECK!!

anyways, thats all for now i guess. i'm off to finish some spanish 314 homework. agggh!
